On my recent trip to New Orleans I stopped by the Delta Sky Club in Concourse T.  It is located right after Security near Gate T6.  I was greeted by a self serve kiosk where I was able to scan my boarding pass to enter the lounge.  I also visited the Concourse A and B lounges.  In Concourse A, there was a line to enter and a staff member was scanning boarding passes with a mobile device. In Concourse B I had to walk to to the counter to have my boarding pass scanned.

How I Gained Access

I was able to access the lounge because I am an American Express Platinum card holder.  You can also get access to the Delta Sky Club for free by having the American Express Business Platinum card, the Delta Reserve Card,  or the Delta Reserve Business card.  It is required to have a same day ticket on Delta Air Lines or a Partner Airline.

Other Ways To Access The Delta Sky Club

  • Individual Membership – $545 Per Year or 54,500 SkyMiles
    • Guests allowed for $39 per person per visit
  • Executive Membership – $845 Per Year or 84,500 SkyMiles
    •  Allows for upto two guests at a time, additional guests are $39 per visit
  • Elite Status – Delta Diamond Medallion Status
    •  Choose SkyClub access as one your three annual choice benefits
  • Delta One Ticket – If you are flying in Delta One, you will automatically get SkyClub access
  • Delta SkyMiles Platinum Card – $39 Per Visit

They had numerous food options including salad, fruits, vegetables, meat and cheeses, brownies, cookies and more.  They also had some other food options in the Concourse B lounge that were not found in Concourse T.

Seating

The lounge featured a main seating area with comfortable chairs and tables and seats by the windows for checking out the incoming planes.  There is also a quiet area for working with lounge chairs and a large table

Conclusion

For frequent flyers, having lounge access is a must.  If you live in a Delta hub like Atlanta for example there are Nine Delta SkyClubs in Hartsfield-Jackson airport. At some point I plan on getting to the airport early so I can visit all nine of them and make a post about that.  I highly recommend the American Express Platinum card as you can access Delta SkyClubs when flying Delta, in addition to Priority Pass lounges.  Apply for the American Express Platinum card with my Referral link HERE.  Stayed tuned for my full post on Airport Lounge access coming soon.
